To deliver on the project's requirements, we designed and installed a robust temporary network specifically for CCTV use. The scope of our solution included:
Temporary Network Backbone Deployment:
A full Cat6 cabling infrastructure was installed across the site, forming the backbone for CCTV connectivity. The layout was strategically planned to enable reliable video transmission from multiple cameras positioned at entrances, staging areas, campsites, and key congregation points.
Seamless Integration with CCTV Systems:
Our network was designed to support high-resolution video feeds with minimal latency or signal loss, ensuring real-time surveillance capabilities for event security teams.
On-Site Engineering Support:
To ensure maximum reliability, our engineers were present on-site throughout the festival. This allowed for immediate response to any faults, technical issues, or system adjustments needed during the event.
Pre-Event Testing and Commissioning:
All installed infrastructure underwent comprehensive testing prior to the start of the festival. We worked closely with Fusion People and other stakeholders to verify end-to-end performance and ensure operational readiness.
The successful implementation of this project showcased our expertise in delivering temporary, event-specific infrastructure under tight timelines and high expectations—playing a vital role in the safe and secure execution of the Reading Festival 2018.
