Overview

Geodyne Limited, a well-established geotechnical and environmental consultancy, was operating across two separate offices. Each site had its own aging server, which created issues around data access, collaboration, and reliability. As the hardware approached end-of-life and began to fail, the company recognised the need to modernise its infrastructure and improve connectivity between sites.

The Challenge

  • Two independent systems made it difficult for teams to share and access data.
  • Server hardware was outdated and increasingly unreliable.
  • Email was hosted on-site, making it harder to manage and scale.
  • There was no central security or user management.

Our Solution

We delivered a complete infrastructure upgrade and connectivity overhaul to help unify and modernise the business:

  • Connected the Two Offices
Installed a secure site-to-site VPN, allowing staff at both locations to share files and access systems as if working from a single site.

  • Centralised Security & User Management
Set up an Active Directory environment across both offices, giving users a single login and improving overall system security.

  • Installed Modern Server Hardware
Replaced the aging infrastructure with powerful new servers to ensure speed, reliability, and long-term performance.

  • Moved Email to the Cloud
Migrated all users from on-premise email to Microsoft 365, providing secure, flexible access to email and productivity tools.

  • Seamless Transition
All work was completed with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.

The Outcome

Modern, Reliable Hardware – Supporting the business today and scalable for tomorrow.

Joined-Up Systems – Both offices now work together with seamless connectivity.

Integrated & Secure – Centralised user management and improved data protection.

Cloud-Enabled Productivity – Microsoft 365 keeps teams connected, wherever they work.
