About the Project
PPG was tasked with overseeing the transformation of a former residential building into modern office space in Russell Square, London. As part of this major refurbishment, a key requirement was the installation of a robust network infrastructure capable of supporting high-speed data transfer and connectivity across the entire office space.
The project required the installation of over 250 data points to ensure every area of the office was covered, including dedicated outlets for printing, air conditioning systems, and Wi-Fi access.
Our Solution
Varciti was engaged to design and install the network infrastructure to meet the building’s specific requirements. This involved deploying a comprehensive Cat6 network to provide reliable and high-performance connectivity throughout the space.
Key Deliverables:
- Network Design & Planning:
We worked with PPG to ensure that the data cabling layout catered to all areas of the refurbished office space. This included outlets in floor boxes, wall-mounted outlets for printers and AC units, and Wi-Fi coverage points in strategic locations to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Cat6 Cabling Installation:
A fully structured Cat6 cabling system was installed, ensuring maximum data transmission speeds and reliability. Each of the 250+ data points was carefully routed to meet both performance standards and aesthetic considerations.
- Testing & Certification:
All installed network points were tested and certified to ensure compliance with industry standards. This included testing for signal integrity, bandwidth performance, and operational reliability.
- On-Time Delivery:
The project was delivered on time, meeting the agreed-upon schedule, and ensuring that the building was ready for lease without delay.
